This strategy is appropriate for 1 deck, where the dealer hits on soft 17 and no doubling after splits is allowed. This differs the most from the default strategy and is played in downtown Las Vegas and Reno.

To use the tables,

first consider whether your hand consists of two hands of the same rank. If so consult the "Potential Splits" table -- "p" means you should split, "n" means you should consult the other tables. If one of your hands is an ace look at the "Soft Hands" table, otherwise go by the "Hard Totals" table. And of course, for non-split hard hands, you should always stand if your total is 18 or above and hit if your total is less than 8.
